Timing vs Chance

has been more than half year I'm here in Dublin. a western country, yeah, a place where everyone speaks English. something weird must be happening to my brain, i just cant find any improvement on my English mastery either on speaking or WRITING. alright, i must admit im quite stupid in language part.

if im not mistaken, the left part of brain is all about memorizing and logic thinking while the right side is more to creativity, music and language stuffs. or the other way round? im not sure, ahhh lazy to google it anyway. the only thing i wana say is that my logic thinking is better than language. that's all ==

Timing and the chances......

hmm actually it is nothing much. just wana share a story my lecturer has shared with us this morning. i personally feel it is very interesting and true. so here we go....

he went to a funeral of his best friend who committed suicide due to a tragic incident. and at there, he met another best friend (hopefully this doesnt sound confusing @@)  so that best friend, the ALIVE one (ok another bullshit) told him smtg like this:

"i dont understand why he choose this way to end his life. there must be solution to his problem. has he ever thought about how will his family become after his death? who is going to take care of his wife and children?" and alot of why why why. he was smoking that time while talking.

so my lecturer answered him: "we will never know why. this is his decision, a decision which cannot be forgiven and will be regretted even during his afterlife. so as you, you are leading yourself to that situation too."

the friend didnt understand why my lecturer would say that, it was like cursing him. oh well.

so my lecturer explained: "smoking is a way to kill yourself, not instantly, slowly.... as time goes by, smoking leads to different kind of diseases. even lung cancer which can kill you within a short time. think about your family, your loving wife, your children, who is going to take care of them?" after a short silence, the friend threw the whole pack of cigarette inside the bin. after a few months my lecturer was told that the friend has stopped smoking completely. "thank you friend, you change my life!" this sentence is what he got. but think about the meaning within those little words.

after that we are told something that i will never forget in my life.

"you are all going to become a doctor. sometimes patients are stubborn. oh wait, i should say all patients is stubborn. they wont listen to your advice. i dont know why, they just wont.  you need to look for the timing and the chance. some moments are the best to influence them and affect them with the things you have learnt. the best timing is the golden chance for you to change a person's life. Grab the chance when you have it. like the story i told you. you, yes everyone of you can save a life with just few words, at the correct time"

Timing, Chances. i cant deny their importance and how significant are they in our life.
health, career, education, family, relationship, almost everything.

this is real true in relationship =') timing, chances, they are important. real important.......
